Another major loss for the world of tattooing: Rick Walters passed away yesterday (March 4th), at the age of 72.
The world-renowned artist and long-time manager of Bert Grimm’s World Famous Tattoo on the Pike, despite his health problems was recently working in his Sunset Beach shop: Rick Walters’ World Famous Tattoo Parlor.
Everyone who loves tattoos and studies the history of tattooing knows Walters’ name, alongside Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, Don Ed Hardy, Bob Shaw, and the other all-time great masters.
Our deepest condoleances go to his family and friends. This remarkable artist with such a long history in tattooing will be remembered and missed.
